Trust Investment Bank first came into being in February, 1992. It was incorporated as a public listed company under the Companies Ordinance, 1984 and is listed on Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad Stock Exchanges. The Bank was formed by Mr. Tajjamul Hussain, a senior Banker – with a capital base of rupees One Hundred Million and it started leasing operations in June, 1992. The Bank obtained license to undertake Investment Finance Services business in January, 2005 under the Non Banking Finance Companies (Establishment & Regulations) Rules, 2003. Subsequently, it was given the status of an investment bank by the State Bank of Pakistan and changed its name to “Trust Leasing & Investment Bank Limited” in August, 2005. The Bank is regulated by the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan. To expand the scope of business, in March, 2007, the name of Trust Leasing & Investment Bank Limited changed to “Trust Investment Bank Limited”.
The company is categorized as a Non-Banking Finance Company and is licensed by Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan to engage in Investment Banking and Leasing.
